Every page view is logged with the visiting IP address, an approximate city and country resolved from that address, the page requested, the referring page and the browser user agent. This is used to see which work people look at and roughly where readers are.
Registering stores the username, email address, a hashed password and anything voluntarily added to the profile: display name, bio, location, website and social links. The contact form requires an account, so messages sent through it are stored alongside the sending account.
Cookies are used for the session, the light/dark theme preference and the chosen language. There is no third-party advertising or tracking cookie.
Fonts, icons and JavaScript libraries are loaded from public CDNs (jsDelivr, jQuery), which necessarily see the requesting IP address. IP geolocation is resolved locally where a MaxMind database is available, and otherwise via an external lookup service.
